\subsubsection{Restrictions}

This implementation allows date to be specified with a precision of 1 second and a range of about 
2.1e9 years assuming a 4-byte signed integer. Note however that the current interface only allows 
initializing the date type with a calendar date specified as a formatted integer. This only leaves 
5 digits for the year and hence the current date range is about 20,000 years.
