ixp425 bsp for vxworks

   README: vxWorks BSP for Intel's IXP425 Network processor

This file contains board-specific information for the IXDP425
board.	This file documents BSP	interface changes from previous
software or hardware versions, and notifies the	user of	serious
caveats	that must be noted before using	this BSP.  Additionally, the
target board's reference entry (i.e. IXDP425/target.nr) provides
board-specific information necessary to	run VxWorks and	should be read
fully before this BSP is used.

        netBufLib fixes for PNE router stack.

        Support for Intel IXP400 software v1.4

        EEPROM initialization for Redboot booting

        Enable trapping of mis-aligned data

        bootrom_uncmp now boots in little endian BSP

        warmboot no longer causes data abort (Warmboot occurs
        automatically when FTP cannot load the vxWorks file)

	Newly implemented little endian support requires Intel IXP400
	software v1.3 and XSCALE pbit support.

        Tornado 2.2.1 requires SPR 89608 patch to be installed for
        little endian (pbit) support.  The patch may be installed from
        target/config/ixdp425/patch-SPR89608.  Since this patch is
        only valid for the Tornado 2.2.1 release (CP1), only big
        endian builds can be supported under Tornado 2.2.0.

        Diab compilation support was added for vxWorks images.  There
        is currently a problem with bootrom images built with dcc
        though.  Also, the default dcc compile flags are not designed
        with optimization in mind.  It is possible that performance
        might be improved with better use of diab optimization flags.

        Implemented 2233 MIB in polled mode for better performance
        when 2233 is enabled.  Note: If this must be built under
        Tornado 2.2.0 (unpatched), then INCLUDE_RFC_2233 must be
        undefined in config.h. 2233 MIB support fixes SNMP statistics
        reporting issues.

        LIB_EXTRA uses "+=" allowing command line builds to also use
        the make variable.

        The Intel Access Library name changed.  The access Library
        versioning system changed.

        Ixe devices are no longer initialized during warmboot when
        removed from "other" field.

	NVRAM FLASH support was added.

        Removed compile warnings.

RELEASE	1.3/3 or 1.2/3

	Released from Wind River for Tornado 2.2 CP1. Version number
	corrected to match WRS standard.

        Various bug fixes for Ethernet, PCI, Timer, and Serial
        devices.

        Better throughput performance on the IXE ethernet devices.
