SimTools is a collection of Matlab utility functions 
to be used with various simulation programs in the
gravitational wave community.

This set of files was originally written to be used with 
Finesse (version 0.99.7 or later). They can be used to 
read, write and run Finesse input file. Recently we
have started to use the same functions successfully with
GWINC and Optickle.

To install, just copy these files into a directory
which is in your Matlab path. 

A list of functions can be printed using FT_help. 
Try 'FT_help' and FT_help('all') to get started. 

Use with Finesse
----------------
If you want to use SimTools with Finesse you need to 
specify the path to the Finesse binary in the file 
FT_create_new_FT.m.

Please copy the example scripts FT_example1.m,
FT_example2.m, etc. and testblock.kat and testconsts.kat 
into your working directory and use them to understand the 
usage of the FT functions.
