One can use several types offilters to see their effects. One can also add noise to an image andsee the effectiveness of a filter for removing it.</p><br><A NAME="demonstration"></A><H2>The tool</H2><P>Like the <a href="imgspectrumexpo.htm">Image Spectrum Explorer</a>, thisdemonstration has two windows: one to display the image, and the other topresent spectral information about the image. The larger colorfulplot on the left is the two-dimensional Fourier transform of the entire image.After loading an image choose a filter, the size and direction for itsapplication (horizontal, vertical, kernel), and apply.
