LM3S316 Autonomous Car
This is an application for the autonomous car based on the LM3S316. The car
utilizes three IR ranging sensors connected to the on-chip ADC, and the PWM
outputs to drive the four brushed DC motors.
The car is programmed to roam about a controlled arena, avoiding obstacles such
as the walls of the arena or boxes placed within the arena. The sides of the
obstacles must be at least 8 inches (20 cm) long; smaller obstacles can not be
reliably seen by the car's sensors due to the sensor arrangement and beam
width. The obstacles must also be tall enough to interfere with the sensor's
beam (4.5 inches or 11.5 cm).
