Surface

    The Surface item of the View menu produces a parametric surface
    plot of the current image data. A 3-D viewer is provided with the plot
    so that the user may vary the rotational view of the surface.

    The buttons provided with all the surface plots (Line, Mesh, MeshC,
    Surface, and Light Surface)control the appearance of the mesh. It is
    best to experiment with these parameters to obtain the desired look.

    When the Fast 3Dplot flag in the Preference controls is on, images in the
    view frame bigger than 100x100 pixels will be resized down to 100x100.
    Smaller images will be not affected by this flag.
