The user who executes this command must be a database superuser or the owner of the database. </para> <para> <application>dropdb</application> is a wrapper around the <acronym>SQL</acronym> command <xref linkend="SQL-DROPDATABASE" endterm="SQL-DROPDATABASE-title">.
