         Purpose:  This program will copy a number of smaller ascii text
                   files end to end making a single big ascii text file.
                   Note that this program will not work on files other
                   than plain ascii text files.  The original files
                   will not be changed.   

         Usage:

                   join [filename] [filename] [filename] . . .


                for example,

                       join 1.doc 2.doc 3.doc 4.doc



                The resulting file is always called JOINED.DOC
