Eachline display the specific Wireless Event which describe what hashappened on the specified wireless interface..brThis command doesn't take any arguments..\".\" DISPLAY part.\".SH DISPLAYThere is two classes of Wireless Events..PPThe first class is events related to a change of wireless settings onthe interface (typically done through.B iwconfigor a script calling.BR iwconfig ).Only settings that could result in a disruption of connectivity arereported. The events currently reported are changing one of thefollowing setting :.br.I " Network ID".br.I " ESSID".br.I " Frequency".br.I " Mode".br.I " Encryption".brAll those events will be generated on all wireless interfaces by thekernel wireless subsystem (but only if the driver has been convertedto the new driver API)..PPThe second class of events are events generated by the hardware, whensomething happens or a task has been finished. Those events include :.TP.B New Access Point/Cell addressThe interface has joined a new Access Point or Ad-Hoc Cell, or lostits association with it. This is the same MAC address that is reportedby.BR iwconfig ..TP.B Scan request completedA scanning request has been completed, results of the scan areavailable (see.BR iwlist )..TP.B Tx packet droppedA packet directed at this address has been dropped because theinterface believes this node doesn't answer anymore (usually maximumof MAC level retry exceeded). An early indication that the node mayhave left the cell or gone out of range, but may be due to fading orexcessive contention..TP.B Custom driver eventEvent specific to the driver. Please check the driver documentation..TP.B Registered nodeThe interface has successfully registered a new wirelessclient/peer. Will be generated mostly when the interface act as anAccess Point (mode master)..TP.B Expired nodeThe registration of the client/peer on this interface hasexpired. Will be generated mostly when the interface act as an AccessPoint (mode master)..TP.B Spy threshold crossedThe signal strength for one of the address in the spy list went underthe low threshold or went above than the high threshold..PPOnly some of those events will be generated on some wirelessinterfaces by the wireless driver, and their support depend on thespecific hardware/driver combination. Please refer to driverdocumentation for details..\".\" AUTHOR part.\".SH AUTHORJean Tourrilhes \- jt@hpl.hp.com.\".\" SEE ALSO part.\".SH SEE ALSO.BR iwconfig (8),.BR iwlist (8),.BR iwspy (8),.BR iwpriv (8).
