Measure attribute usually contains the quantitative infromation that user
might be interested in.

However, there are proposals to treat dimensions and measures equally. However,
I am not in favor of such approaches. For one thing, the measure attributes
could take a continuous domain, while dimension attributes are restricted to
discrete domains.
