L. Devroye, L. Gy?rfi, and G. Lugosi: 
A Probabilistic Theory of Pattern Recognition, Springer Verlag, New York, 1996.
This is a very useful reference, or, dictionary like book.

Vladimir Vapnik. 
Statistical Learning Theory. Wiley, New York, 1998.
This is the bibil.

Vladimir N. Vapnik. 
The Nature of Statistical Learning Theory. New York: Springer, 1995.
This is a simplified bible.
