I guess your question is not valid. Maybe it will be easier if you can 
pose your original problem here.

The concept of metric space has nothing to do with RDBMS though.

I don't know how the term is translated in Chinese, but I suggest you 
give the English term beside your Chinese translation, so that it would 
help readers to understand it.

VLDB is one of the few prestigious conferences in the database field. Nearly
all the papers in the proceedings need intensive reading.
