It has the basicroute-discovery and route-maintenance of DSR and uses the hop-by-hoprouting, sequence numbers and beacons of DSDV. The node that wants to knowa route to a given destination generates a ROUTE REQUEST. The routerequest is forwarded by intermediate nodes that also creates a reverseroute for itself from the destination. When the request reaches a nodewith route to destination it generates a ROUTE REPLY containing the numberof hops requires to reach destination. All nodes that participates inforwarding this reply to the source node creates a forward route todestination.
