CONFIGURING GAUSS TO USE MCMC PROGRAMS

The programs in the MCMC folder use two files:
PLBAM.SRC		contains source code for the procedures that the programs call.
PLBAM.LCG		is a library file that defines the procedures in PLBAM.SRC

Both of these files are in the MCMC folder.

Before running the programs in MCMC, you need to perform two or three steps.

1.  Copy the file
PLBAM.LCG
to GAUSS's library folder.   

If you have a standard installation, copy it to the folder:
C:\GAUSS\LIB

PLBAM.LCG defines the procedures in PLBAM.SRC for GAUSS and
 is used to compile source code in the file PLBAM.SRC.
The LCG extension indicates library files.

2.  <Optional>  
If the directory MCMC is installed on the C: drive, then 
the path for PLBAM.SRC is

C:\MCMC\PLBAM.SRC

If you install PLBAM.SRC in a different folder,
then you will have to modify the first line of PLBAM.LCG 
to reflect the new path.  Otherwise, do nothing for step 2.

3.  Before you run any of the programs in the folder MCMC, issue the command

library pgraph, plbam;

in GAUSS's interactive window.
This command loads the graphics procedures and the procedures in PLBAM.SRC
into GAUSS's workspace.  PGRAPH is a standard library file that comes with GAUSS.
