1. Network Simulator Dialog

Top most is the menu bar of Network Simulator. It contains Menu items as File, Message, View, Global, Language and Help.

1.a) File menu is having Exit, used for closing the Newtwork Simulator. 

1.b) Message menu is having two option: Async Message and Edit message attribute. If Async Message is selected it will show a dialog using which we can send the Async Messages. If user click on Edit Message 
Attribute, the Edit MEssage Attribute dialog will appear where user can change the message attribute like Default Dataset for a message, Input mode for message, add new dataset for a message and even change the properties of the dataset like frequency and timer. User can create a dataset and send it without saving. Other options like Save, Save & Send are also there.

1.c) View Menu is under construction.

1.d) Global Menu is having two options: Responses, Frequency and Timer. If user select the Response, a dialog will appear from where user can change the response mode.

1.e) Language Menu is having two options to select the language. The language can be English ot Chinese.

2.  Async Message
    [In NWS click on Message -> Async Message]

Explore the tree by clicking on the Events. Select application and then select the message. User can see the properties of selected message. Clikc on send button to send the message. Click on close to close the dialog.


3.  Edit Attribute and Add Edit Dataset (For Incoming Msg)   
    [In NWS click on Message -> Add Edit Dataset]

Select an Application ID in the AppId Combo box. Messages related to this application will appear in the MsgId combo box. When a Message Id is selected after this, user can see the list of Dataset names in the Dataset combo box and details of the data set in the list view. Now when a particular dataset is selected in the Dataset combo the dataset values will be shown. 3rd column of dataset values displays the values corresponding to that of the selected dataset and the Frequency and Timer combo also get filled in. Now user can easily edit the entries of the selected dataset in the 3rd column and then click save to set the contents in XML file. User can add new dataset by clicking on the New Dataset Button. Name and description will appear and user will fill the required details and click on the save button to save the dataset. To change the default dataset, select the dataset value from Default Dataset Combo box. To Change the input mode select the input mode from the input mode combo box. Click on save, values get saved in the XML file. To change frequency and timer select the appropriate values in the Frequency and Timer combo box and click Save button.


4.  Response Mode Modification of OutGoing Messages
    [In NWS click on Global -> Response]


Explore the tree by clicking on the Events. Select application and then select the message. Change the response mode of the message just by checking in the Check button. if user select the application the complete application (all messages) becaome auto. If user click root of the tree and check it [tick], all the messages will become auto. 


5.  Frequency Timer Modification of Incoming Messages.
    [In NWS click on Global -> Frequency and Timer]


Explore the tree by clicking on the OutGoing Messages.Select application, select the message and then select the dataset whose frequency and timer values are to be modified. Click on Tab, frequency attribute will be selected. select the frquency value, select the timer value and click on the save. Frequency and timer values are saved in the XML File. If user select the frequency of a dataset as 1, then its Check buttoe in the tree will become UNCHECKED. The count  (total no of messages having freq > 1 for default dataset) also get updated when user change the Frequency of default dataset.
