<td colspan="2">Sounds like your phone has not yet been configured for using a GPS receiver. Go into "Settings" and select the "System" tab. Click on "GPS" and ensure that the com port selected in the drop down is indeed the one that your receiver is associated with. If you don't see the GPS icon there then your OEM has disabled it. Look at the links on the top of this article. One of them is for an executable that will re-enable the GPS icon. Note this is only applicable to Windows Mobile 5 and 6.
