<p>
<ol><li> Unzip the DSCUD archive file into its own directory, maintaining file path information.
</li><li> Run <strong>DSCUDInstall.exe</strong>, located at the base of the directory tree.
</li><li> Read the release information and check "I have read this very important information".
</li><li> Click "Next".
</li><li> If you want to copy the library files to a central location, you may enter that location here. Otherwise, select "Do not install developer files".
</li><li> Click "Next".
</li><li> At this point the system files will be installed and the installation will finish.
</li><li> If you are running Windows NT/2K/XP, you <em>do not</em> have to reboot the computer to complete installation.
</li></ol><p>
This will copy and install the system files (<strong>dscudkp.sys</strong> and <strong>windrvr.sys</strong>). You will be responsible for placing the library files (<strong>dscud.dll</strong>, <strong>dscud.lib</strong>, <strong>dscud.h</strong>) in their appropriate place for your compiler or program needs.
<p>
<strong>NOTE:</strong> Diamond Systems products are NOT plug and play and can not be managed through the Windows Device Manager. Access and management is done through direct I/O.<p><h3><a name="Uninstallation"> Uninstallation </a></h3>

<ol><li> Run <strong>DSCUDUninstall.exe</strong> located in the DSCUD archive.
</li><li> Click on the UnInstall button
</li></ol><p>
This will clean all DSCUD system (.<strong>sys</strong>) files. You will have to manually remove any copies of library files (<strong>dscud.dll</strong>, <strong>dscud.lib</strong>, <strong>dscud.h</strong>) that you may have made.
