On the <a href="manual_Emerald-MM-8.html" class='printable' title ="Emerald-MM-8">Emerald-MM-8</a>, only the lower 128 bytes are addressable.
If there is a timeout failure waiting for the EEPROM to respond, the function will return DE_OPERATION_TIMED_OUT.
