ARM Software Development Toolkit v2.50 Evaluation Version
=========================================================

This is the ARM Software Development Toolkit v2.50 Evaluation Version.

This is a 60 day timed out version of the full toolkit. There is no
technical support offered with this product. If you would like to
contact ARM with any feedback then please email us at [e-mail];
a reply is not guaranteed.

Warning: directory that must not be deleted
-------------------------------------------

The installer for this product will create a directory called
"C_dilla" on your computer's hard disk. Please do not delete this
directory or its contents. If you do, the SDT Eval software will cease
to work, and it will not be possible to re-install it on the same
machine. The operation of the full Software Development Toolkit
product is unaffected.

Installation of path and environment variables under Windows NT.
---------------------------------------------------------------

On Windows NT the SDT Eval software must be installed with
Administrator privilege.

Under Windows NT, the PATH and environment variables are set up on a
per user basis in the system registry and not globally. This means
that if you log on with a user id that is different from the user id
used to install the software then these variables will not be set and
the software will not operate correctly.

Work around: Using the "System" section of the Control Panel add the
directory "<InstallDir>\bin" to the global PATH and set the following
user variables: ARMLIB=<Installdir>\LIB ARMINC=<Installdir>\INCLUDE

Using the command-line tools
----------------------------

If console output from the command line tools is redirected to a file
when running SDT eval on Windows NT then the output will be lost. This
is a problem with the technology used to limit the eval product only
and does not occur on Windows 95, or with the full product.

Installation of the full SDT product
------------------------------------

The SDT eval product is not designed to be used on a PC on which the
full product is installed. If it is used in this situation then the
two products may not operate correctly.

When replacing the eval product with the full product it is
recommended that the eval product is uninstalled first. Attempting to
uninstall the eval product after the full product has been installed
may result in it being necessary to reinstall the full product.
