This program determines the maxima (minima) of a time series. This
corresponds to a <a href="../chaospaper/node11.html" tppabs="http://www.mpipks-dresden.mpg.de/~tisean/TISEAN_2.0/docs/chaospaper/node11.html">Poincar&eacute; section</a>
 at the zeros of the derivative.
To get a better estimate of the extremum, a quadratic interpolation is done.
