Hello there,

I've installed Mandrake 9.0 and I've noticed that the system every 10
minutes does something like "apm suspend" mode for few seconds. I've posted
few
e-mails and I come to the conclusion that somehow the kernel things my
system is
... SMP with a single CPU.

Anyway, I've installed kernel-linus and the problem is gone BUT I found that
my zip and cdrom do work properly now ;-( 

What is the difference between all these linux kernels? is there any boot
parameter that I can pass to kernel (not the linus one) so it does not go to
SMP "mode"? If I recomplile the kernel without SMP flags on will the problem
go?

Usage question:

If I am choosing to run everything with the -r option.
Do I need to specify that same option if I'm teaching or 
correcting bogofilter?

Or:

If I use
bogofilter -p -e -r -u

should I use:
bogofilter -s -r
and
bogofilter -S -r

or just leave the '-r' out for the last two lines...

I think you right-click on the Panel and choose Add.  It'll be one of the
applets that are available.  I think it's called "Pager".

I am running Redhat 7.2.  The other day I filled up my  root partition 
where eveything is stored and my system crashed/froze.  I was able to 
telnet in and reboot.  When it came back up I started moving things off 
the root partition and onto a separate partition.  In the process I 
somehow hosed my virtual terminals in the corner on the panel and cannot 
figure out how to get them back.  The virtual terminals just 
disappeared.  It may have happened as a result of the crash or in the 
process of moving things off the root partition ... not sure.  Any idea 
how I can fix this and get my Virtual Terminals back?

Hi,

Does anybody know of  Mozilla quickstart in Linux. Or there is no such 
thing !!!
Well, this feature is there in M$ Windows and not in Linux !!!! I 
thought it is an Open Source project originating in the Open Source 
World, so shouldn't it be having good killer features in Linux atleast !

Especially when, the main place Linux is lacking good speed is the web 
browsing experience with the big lizard 'Mozilla' and Office Suite like 
Open Office or KOffice (all of them damn slow !!!)
