have an older, floppy-based tape drive that uses

the QIC-80 format, select OTHER, then specify the tape device (most likely

/dev/rft0, the rewinding tape device).

<P>Once you've selected the backup device, choose Save in the BRU Configuration

window. To begin a backup, insert a tape (or floppy) in your computer. The BRU program

checks the floppy or tape, then tells you its status. You can then select Backup from the

BRU program's File menu. You'll see a File Selection dialog box, which enables you to

select whole files or directories to back up. See Figure 23.3 for a representative window.

After you've finished selecting and adding the directories or files, click the Begin Backup

button to start your backup.
