Dear Mr. Koppany,

The Java parser now contains calls to put_symbol and put_cross_ref.
INTERFACE is treated similar to class and highlighting is implemented.
With put_cross_ref, inheritance and overloading are implemented after
number of parameters.  Overloading after parameter types is still missing
as well as some difficult constructs e.g. m1(a).m2(b).

For the missing things a complete type testing is necessary, which is
rather complex.

Running the command:

   time main ... > /dev/null

With highlighting however without data base link and without put_cross_ref
with einer Geschwindigkeit von 2000 bzw. 4250 lines per second
(on SPARCstation ELC bzw. PC 486 with 66 MHZ).
with put_cross_ref are es 1750 bzw. 3750 lines per second.
