- check our current usage of the gettext tools [sf, mg]
  PROBLEM: how do we may correctly differentiate between
  versions of gettext with and without the autopoint script.
  AM_GNU_GETTEXT_VERSION macro is not defined in versions of
  gettext, that do not provide the autopoint script (<0.11.3)
  See comments in autogen.sh and configure.in!
- implement verify
- don't program 0xff into Atmel's memory if --erase is given.
  This could save a huge amount of programming time.
- check the existance of data file before consumption any time
  (read memory)
