hexbin \-  convert an Intel HEX\-file to a binary image
.SH SYNOPSIS
.B hexbin
[options] hexfile [binary]
.SH DESCRIPTION
.B hexbin
is a program that converts
.B Intel HEX\-files
to plain binary image files.
.SH FILES
.B hexfile
is the
.BR "Intel HEX\-file" ", and " "binary"
is the output file.
.br
All file names that are specified explicitly, are left unchanged.
The parameter
.B binary
is optional. When omitted, the
.B binary
file name is derived from the
.B hexfile
name, but with extension
.IR ".bin" "."
.br
The maximum length of a file parameter is limited to 255 characters!
.SH OPTIONS
.B hexbin
recognizes the following options:

.B \-o offs
.br
.B \-\-offset=offs
.br
.RS
inserts
.B offs
dummy bytes on top of the output file before the
.B HEX
record with the lowest load address.
.B offs
must be a hex number. (Default: offs=0)

.B \-l len

.B \-\-length=len
.br
.RS
appends as many dummy bytes after the
.B HEX
record with the highest load address until
the total file length becomes exactly
.BR "len" "."
.B len
must be a hex number. (Default: append 0 bytes)

.B \-\-fill=peep

fills all peepholes in the output file with dummy bytes of the value
.BR "peep" "."
.B peep
must be a hex number. (Default: peep=FF)

output a brief file conversion report and
additional product and version information.

Long options may be abbreviated as long as they remain unique.
All option names are case\-sensitive!
