A machine can beconfigured as a server, a client, or both. Yes   [ No ]</pre><p>With the arrow keys, select <span class="GUIBUTTON">[&nbsp;Yes&nbsp;]</span> or <spanclass="GUIBUTTON">[&nbsp;No&nbsp;]</span> as appropriate and press <bclass="KEYCAP">Enter</b>.</p></div></div><div class="SECT2"><h2 class="SECT2"><a id="SECURITYPROFILE" name="SECURITYPROFILE">2.9.6 SecurityProfile</a></h2><p>A ``security profile'' is a set of configuration options that attempts to achieve thedesired ratio of security to convenience by enabling and disabling certain programs andother settings. The more severe the security profile, the fewer programs will be enabledby default. This is one of the basic principles of security: do not run anything exceptwhat you must.</p><p>Please note that the security profile is just a default setting. All programs can beenabled and disabled after you have installed FreeBSD by editing or adding theappropriate line(s) to <tt class="FILENAME">/etc/rc.conf</tt>. For more information,please see the <a href="http://www.FreeBSD.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=rc.conf&sektion=5"><spanclass="CITEREFENTRY"><span class="REFENTRYTITLE">rc.conf</span>(5)</span></a> manualpage.</p><p>The following table describes what each of the security profiles does.
