To just reboot a FreeBSD system, just use <ttclass="COMMAND">shutdown -r now</tt>. You need to be <tt class="USERNAME">root</tt> or amember of <tt class="GROUPNAME">operator</tt> group to run <ahref="http://www.FreeBSD.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=shutdown&sektion=8"><spanclass="CITEREFENTRY"><span class="REFENTRYTITLE">shutdown</span>(8)</span></a>.
