Support for generic IDE or ESDI drive configurations, variousSCSI controllers, PCMCIA cards, USB devices, and network and serial cards is alsoprovided. FreeBSD also supports IBM's microchannel (MCA) bus.</p><p>A list of supported hardware is provided with each FreeBSD release in the FreeBSDHardware Notes. This document can usually be found in a file named <ttclass="FILENAME">HARDWARE.TXT</tt>, in the top-level directory of a CDROM or FTPdistribution or in <b class="APPLICATION">sysinstall</b>'s documentation menu. It lists,for a given architecture, what hardware devices are known to be supported by each releaseof FreeBSD.
