An Excel example spreadsheet (suitable for versions 5 and above)
test.xls has been provided to demonstrate some of the DDE
capability of Mdbus.  In order to set up Mdbus with the appropriate
configuration which will dump data into test.xls, start up Mdbus
and click on the Configuration menu item.  This will bring up the
Configuration Window.  Type test in the edit box in the Master/Slave
Configuration box and click on the "Load File" button.  This
will load a preset configuration with the required Master Only
DDE parameters.  Now set up the register definition, baud rate,
and comm. port to the device being polled and press Ok.  Now
close Mdbus and click on the Excel Example to activate Excel
which will in turn start up Mdbus.  Now click the On menu item
and data will now be dumped into test.xls and the macro
test_beep will be executed each scan.
