name=3Dmarker-998238></A>Project Editor Details</H2>
<P class=3DBodyAfterHead><A name=3DpgfId-998240></A>The <SPAN =

Editor</SPAN> enables you to add, hide, and unload files from your =
project. You=20
can also use it to create and change views. To open the <SPAN =
class=3DBold>Project=20
Editor</SPAN>, from the <SPAN class=3DBold>File</SPAN> menu, select =
<SPAN=20
class=3DBold>Project Editor</SPAN>.</P>

text box contains a file path; the directory that your project file is =
located=20
in is your <EM class=3DEmphasis>project</EM> <A =

class=3DEmphasis>directory</EM>. From now on, every non-absolute path =
will be=20
relative to this directory. If you would like to choose a different =
path, click=20
the "<SPAN class=3DBold>...</SPAN>" button. You can change the path only =
when=20
creating a project.</P>
<H3 class=3DLabel><A name=3DpgfId-1001361></A>Note</H3>
<P class=3DNote><A name=3DpgfId-1001380></A>If the source code included =

project is in a read-only directory, you will not be able to create the =
project=20
and corresponding database files in the same directory as your source =
files. You=20
must choose a directory where you have write permission for the project =
file and=20
the database files.</P>

Another Project to a Project</H3>

Source-Navigator project and all of the files it includes into your =

project. </P>

is chosen by default from the <SPAN class=3DBold>Files of type</SPAN> =
menu. To see=20
all files in the directory, choose <SPAN class=3DBold>All files =
(*)</SPAN>. Click=20
on the project from which you want to import files.</P>

Views</H3>
<P class=3DBody><A name=3DpgfId-1001540></A>Views show a partial set of =
project=20
files. For example, one view might be set to show only database-specific =
files=20
from a project, while another one shows the GUI components in the =
project. You=20
may hide specific files in one view and show these hidden files in other =

views.</P>
<H4 class=3DHeading3><A name=3DpgfId-1001542></A>Creating <A=20
name=3Dmarker-1001541></A>views</H4>
<P class=3DBody><A name=3DpgfId-1001543></A>Enter the name of the new =
view in the=20
<SPAN class=3DBold>View</SPAN> text box and click <SPAN =
class=3DBold>OK</SPAN>. This=20
creates the new view and closes the <SPAN class=3DBold>Project =
Editor</SPAN>. The=20
next time you open the <SPAN class=3DBold>Project Editor</SPAN>, this =
view will be=20
the default view in the <SPAN class=3DBold>View </SPAN>selection =
box.</P>
<H4 class=3DHeading3><A name=3DpgfId-1001545></A>Selecting another <A=20
name=3Dmarker-1001544></A>view</H4>
<P class=3DBody><A name=3DpgfId-1001546></A>To select an existing view, =
click the=20
down arrow to the right of the <SPAN class=3DBold>View</SPAN> text box. =
A pulldown=20
list of views appears. Select the view you wish to see.</P>

name=3Dmarker-1001557></A>View</H3>

current view,=20
but does not delete them from the project or the file system. Hide files =

directories by clicking on a file or directory in the file system tree =

the <SPAN class=3DBold>Project Editor</SPAN>, and click the <SPAN=20
class=3DBold>Hide</SPAN> button.</P>
<P class=3DBody><A name=3DpgfId-998286></A>A new folder named <SPAN=20
class=3DBold>Hidden</SPAN> appears and the hidden files and directories =
are placed=20
into this folder. To make the hidden items visible again, select the =
hidden file=20
or directory and click the <SPAN class=3DBold>View</SPAN> button.</P>
<H3 class=3DHeading2><A name=3DpgfId-998287></A>Unloading Files from a =
Project</H3>
<P class=3DBody><A name=3DpgfId-998289></A><A =

class=3DBold>Unload</SPAN> button allows you to remove files from a =
project, but=20
not from your hard drive. To remove files from a project, select the =
files from=20
the <SPAN class=3DBold>Project Editor</SPAN> window and click the <SPAN=20
class=3DBold>Unload </SPAN>button.</P>
<H3 class=3DHeading2><A name=3DpgfId-1001579></A>Statistics for a =
Project</H3>
<P class=3DBody><A name=3DpgfId-1001580></A>The <SPAN =
class=3DBold>Statistics</SPAN>=20
button allows you to view the number of symbols (such as classes, =
methods, and=20
functions) in a file. In the <SPAN class=3DBold>Name</SPAN> text box, =
select a=20
file and click the <SPAN class=3DBold>Statistics</SPAN> button. The =
statistics for=20
the file are displayed. Click <SPAN class=3DBold>Close</SPAN> to close =
the=20
Statistics window.</P>
