<tt>Project1st</tt> is a <A href="functors.html">function object</A> that takes two arguments and
returns its first argument; the second argument is unused.
It is essentially a generalization of
<tt><A href="identity.html">identity</A></tt> to the case of a <A href="BinaryFunction.html" tppabs="http://www.sgi.com/Technology/STL/BinaryFunction.shtml">Binary Function</A>.
