This directory contains utilities not requiring par:

PROGRAM		PURPOSE
ctrlstrip.c  	ctrlstrip - Strip non-graphic characters
fcat.c  	fast cat with 1 read per file
isatty.c  	pass on return from the corresponding system call
maxints.c  	maximum and minimum sizes for integer types
newback.c  	toggle current backspace between ^h and DEL
pause.c  	prompt and wait for user signal to continue
pgen.c  	generate prompt showing relative directory, etc.
rec.c  		upload Wordstar files to Unix
t.c  		show time for non-military thinkers

Caveat: Some files don't use ANSI-C style.
