Any conflict between therequirements described here and the ISO C standard is unintentional. This volume of IEEE Std 1003.1-2001 defers tothe ISO C standard. <img src="../images/opt-end.gif" alt="[Option End]" border="0"></div><p>The <i>fputs</i>() function shall write the null-terminated string pointed to by <i>s</i> to the stream pointed to by<i>stream</i>.
