This volume of IEEE Std 1003.1-2001 defers tothe ISO C standard. <img src="../images/opt-end.gif" alt="[Option End]" border="0"></div><p>The <i>assert</i>() macro shall insert diagnostics into programs; it shall expand to a <b>void</b> expression.
