The error status for an asynchronous I/O operation is the <i>errno</i> value that would be set by thecorresponding <a href="../functions/read.html"><i>read</i>()</a>, <a href="../functions/write.html"><i>write</i>()</a>, <sup>[<ahref="javascript:open_code('SIO')">SIO</a>]</sup> <img src="../images/opt-start.gif" alt="[Option Start]" border="0"> <a href="../functions/fdatasync.html"><i>fdatasync</i>()</a>, <img src="../images/opt-end.gif" alt="[Option End]" border="0"> or <a href="../functions/fsync.html"><i>fsync</i>()</a> operation.
