RECVAR, A package for new data types in Matlab.

This package can be used both under Matlab 4 and 5.

For Matlab 4, this package currently contains executable mex-files for SUN with Solaris 2 (matfile.mexsol), DEC Alpha with Unix (matvar.mexaxp) and PC with MS-Windows 3, MS-Windows 95 or MS-Windows NT (matvar.mex). The package can be used on all computer platforms with Matlab 5.

To use this package copy the files to suitable file directories and extend the Matlab search path with these file directories, either with the environment variable MATLABPATH or the Matlab command path.

For Matlab 5, the file directory recvar/matlab5 must be in the search path but recvar/matlab4 must not. The opposite applies for Matlab 5.

The file recvar.m contains information about record type variables.
The file multimat.m contains information about multidimensional matrices.The file listhelp.m contains information about lists.
