        "staton"        causes simcalc to display statistical 
                        messages about time.
                        
        "statoff"       supresses these statistical messages.

        staton and statoff cannot be used in loops. 
        If simcalc is enabled to display statistical messages before
        a loop, the total time of all computations in the loop are 
        displayed.
