This note provides board-specific information necessary to run
VxWorks.  Before running VxWorks, verify that the board runs in the
factory configuration.  This can be done by utilizing PlanetCore.
The EP852 BSP produces a VxWorks image that will run out of ram on an Embedded 
Planet EP852 board. Check the Motorola web site for any errata that apply to
your particular device/revision processor before using VxWorks.

Refer to the "VxWorks Development Kit" manual that ships with the
VxWorks BSP for information about the board, development environment, BSP 
configuration, and embedded aplications development.

The VxWorks image is designed to work in conjunction with the PlanetCore
Boot Loader from Embedded Planet.  PlanetCore ships with every EP8xx board.

The module sysMotCpmEnd.c creates the load string for the END-style cpm 
interface. The Ethernet tranceiver on the EP852 board is wired to the SCC3
channel of the Communication Processor Module (CPM).

The EP boards have a unique Ethernet hardware address assigned to each board.  
A unique address is absolutely necessary if the user wishes to connect the board
to a network.  The address is now obtained from the PlanetCore boot parameters 
stored in the dual-ported RAM after boot. No user configuration is required in 
the BSP to set the ethernet address.
