If your environment requires stability, consider using theprevious major release (TinyOS 1.1.0) or, at the very least, testing yourapplications carefully with the new release before migrating wholesaleto 1.1.5 or any other minor release.</i></p><p> This document outlines the changes that have occured in TinyOSsince the last snapshot release (1.1.4) and the current minor release(1.1.5). While there are no major changes for 1.1.5, the changes withthe most impact include bug fixes and improvements to the Tythonscripting environment, an update release of TinyDB/TASK, plusmiscellaneous bug fixes across the system.<p><table border="0" hspace="4" cellspacing="2" width="100%" cellpadding="3"> <tbody> <tr bgcolor="#e0e0ff"> <td width="100%"><nobr><b><font face="arial,helvetica">TinyOS</font></b></nobr></td> </tr> </tbody></table></p><p>Improvements and bug fixes were make to <b>Tython</b>, the TOSSIMscripting environment introduced in 1.1.3. The improvements madeinclude internal restructuring to support the simulation of SimObjectsthat are not MoteSimObjects (this may cause minor incompatibilitieswith plugins)and some miscellaneous bugs that left the TOSSIMprocesses running after TinyViz/Tython exited.</p> For moreinformation about Tython, please see the User Manual in the doc/tythondirectory.</p><p>Among numerous tweaks: fixed bug #909637 regarding interrupt pinincompatability between the MICA and the MICA2; fixed the file saveoperation in the Oscilloscope Java GUI to correctly handle dropped packets and null elements in the vector.</p><table border="0" hspace="4" cellspacing="2" width="100%" cellpadding="3"> <tbody> <tr bgcolor="#e0e0ff"> <td width="100%"><nobr><b><font face="arial,helvetica">Systems</font></b></nobr></td> </tr> </tbody></table><p>The 1.1.2 minor release of TinyDB/TASK is <i>expected</i> to bereleased simultaneously with TinyOS 1.1.5. The 1.1.2 TinyDB/TASKsnapshot will include numerous bug fixes and upgrades. For moreinformation on TinyDB, please see documentation in the doc/ directory.
