{cmd:doedit} opens a text editor that allows you to edit do-files and other
text files.

Pressing Stata's {hi:Do-file Editor} button is equivalent to typing
{cmd:doedit}.

{cmd:doedit}, typed by itself, invokes the editor with an empty document.
If you specify {it:filename}, that file is displayed in the editor.

The do-file editor lets you submit several commands to Stata at once.
