<p> <span class="STYLE1">卡巴迪有时候被称为是一项游戏的运动，他在亚洲相当的流行，但是他却看上去很简单，并没有其他球类比赛很绝妙的战略。</span></p>
<p class="STYLE1"> 卡巴迪起源于西亚，参加比赛的运动员需要长时间的憋气进行追逐。在比赛中，进攻一方须连续不断大声呼喊"卡巴迪"。 比赛在室外进行，场地的面积为40m×25m，每队各有7名队员参加比赛。比赛分为上下半场，各20分钟，中场休息5分钟。，两个队伍进行相互的进攻和防守。在比赛中，在“卡巴迪-卡巴迪”的圣歌中，两个队伍通过捕捉对方的队员来得分，得分高的一方获胜。在比赛中，得分的主要方式就是进攻队员尽可能的入侵对方的场地，而不被捕捉。防守一方叫做“反对者”，而冒犯一方叫做“袭击者”。</p>
<p class="STYLE1"> 全场以中线为界，分为两个半场，每个半场的1/2处又画有一条"拦截线"。在底线2米以外处设一替补席。每队队员12人，7人上场，其余5人坐在替补席上 。比赛时，各队站在己方半场，先由进攻一方的1名队员冲过中线进攻。进攻者一起步，就必须连续不断大声呼喊"卡巴迪"，稍有停顿或含糊，即被罚出场。 进攻者进入对方场地，但未越过拦截线时，不能让对方捉住，过拦截线后，即可用身体的任何部位触及防守者，被触者则出场，输1分。反之， 进攻者在追逐时喊不出声或被防守者逮住，则被罚出场，亦需失分。如进攻者未触及任何防守者，自己亦未犯规离场或被捉，则可跑回己方场地，算打和。 比赛由双方轮流派出进攻者，每次只能1名。比赛中失分少的一方获胜。</p>
<p class="STYLE1"> 在15届亚运会上，卡巴迪比赛将按照亚洲业余卡巴迪协会的比赛规则来进行。如果比赛少于7个队伍参加的话，比赛将会采用单循环赛制，如果比赛超过8支参赛队的话，将分组循环赛。前两名的队伍与另外一个小组前两名的队伍进行交叉半决赛从而产生冠军。获胜的队伍将获得2分，平1分。而如果在半决赛或者决赛中出现平局，将马上进行五分钟的加时赛。参赛队应该最多12名队员，最少10名队员组成。</p>
<p class="STYLE1"> 卡巴迪运动源于古代，已开始用作个人的进攻和防守的练习。比赛在南亚非常流行。印度卡巴迪协会在1950年创立，并且制定了相关的规则。在1980年首次亚洲卡巴迪大赛展开。第一次世界卡巴迪锦标赛在加拿大的爱德蒙顿进行，大概有1万4000名观众观摩了比赛。参赛的队伍有印度、巴基斯坦、加拿大、英国和美国。首次的卡巴迪世界杯在2004年在印度进行。卡巴迪是1990年北京亚运会成为正式比赛项目的。</p>
