<p><font face="Courier New"><font size=-1>
This lecture introduces a class of new algorithms for blind</font></font>
<br><font face="Courier New"><font size=-1>separation of independent soruce
signals from a linear mixture system :</font></font>
<br><font face="Courier New"><font size=-1>There are two algorithms based
on minimizing a contrast function defined in</font></font>
<br><font face="Courier New"><font size=-1>terms of Kullback-Leibler distance,
by utilizing the technique of</font></font>
<br><font face="Courier New"><font size=-1>multivariate density estimation.
An information theory based algorithm which</font></font>
<br><font face="Courier New"><font size=-1>minimizes the mutual information
among components in the output vector and</font></font>
<br><font face="Courier New"><font size=-1>utilizes the edgeworth expansion
method. Another algorithm based on</font></font>
<br><font face="Courier New"><font size=-1>non-linear infomax self-organizing
network, it develops to maximize the</font></font>
<br><font face="Courier New"><font size=-1>mutual information between its
output and the observed data of its input.</font></font>
<br><font face="Courier New"><font size=-1>
This talk shows blind separation results of speech signals and</font></font>
<br><font face="Courier New"><font size=-1>images, and performance index
curves for comparison of these algorithms.</font></font>
<br><font face="Courier New"><font size=-1>
In the communication and radar applications of blind signal</font></font>
<br><font face="Courier New"><font size=-1>processing, it describes some
researching results of blind parameter</font></font>
<br><font face="Courier New"><font size=-1>estimation, blind equalization,
blind array processing and beamforming</font></font>
<br><font face="Courier New"><font size=-1>,etc.,such as using a neural
network structure to implement a robust blind</font></font>
<br><font face="Courier New"><font size=-1>beamforming algorithm. It can
decrease the computational complexity of blind</font></font>
<br><font face="Courier New"><font size=-1>beamforming system and turn
into realization in real-time . Results of</font></font>
<br><font face="Courier New"><font size=-1>computer simulations are better
than modern blind beamforming algorithm</font></font>
