If you are a stellar, results-oriented Program Manager with a passion for shipping software, please read on. The SQL Sustained Engineering team is seeking an individual with a strong project management background to assist in guiding the servicing of our products to release on time and with quality. In this position, you will be focused on managing hotfixes and escalated cases within the SQL Business Unit; you must identify and track key project metrics that are critical to release success, establish and manage project schedules, manage risk and open issues, communicate regular status to stakeholders, as well as partnering with the support organization to become an advocate for customer reported issues within the development teams.

Responsibilities:
Strategic:
1) Coordinate the delivery of Service Packs for the SQL Business Unit
2) Coordinate deliverables into Service Packs for other Divisions
3) Coordinate the delivery of hotfixes to support organizations
4) Manage the complete product release portion of escalated customer issues.
5) Act as liaison between product development and technical support groups.
6) Assist in developing improvements to our current processes to increase the overall efficiency\effectiveness of the team.

Tactical:
1) Adopt, implement and follow unified ISM process for the SQL BU
2) Adopt, implement and follow unified RFC process for the SQL BU
3) Adopt and use unified hotfix tools to drive all processes 
4) Interface with SQL SE Operations Lead on daily basis to stay abreast of process, tool, etc updates and changes, and then implement such changes in assigned areas.
5) Attend all regular SE forums (triage, shiproom, etc) to provide status on all open cases and take action items to follow up on assigned items.

Qualifications:
1. Deep knowledge of the software development cycle, ideally in a major development organization.
2. Ability to coordinate and prioritize in a fast past environment and ability to work interact effectively with other groups.
3. Exceptional communication, negotiation and cross group skills; must be able to drive shared goals across multiple groups.
4. Familiarity with software servicing and support.
5. Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage several projects.
6. 5 years experience in software industry 
7. 2 years direct experience with the software lifecycle
8. 2 years direct experience in shipping software products to the market
9. Demonstrated track record for managing and shipping at least 2 software products
