 <li>when representing a database connection: hascode of jdbc url w/ out username, password
 </ul> 
 </p>
 <p>
 Implemetnation tip - URL.hashCode is a blocking operation, so you calculate and cache when the URL changes,
 rather than block this method.
 </p>
