The socks5 distribution includes these statically socksified client applications for the socks5 environment:

Do not socksify these applications with runsocks.

To use applications that are not socksified, socksify them with runsocks, and create a socks5 library configuration file, libsocks5.conf. For additional information about dynamically socksifying applications, please refer to libsocks5.conf(5) and runsocks(1) for complete details, including setting environment variables.
