They are often launched within a website for purpose of pitching a special product or service. The difference between buttons and pop up windows is that they are self-contained and generally cover a square of the browser window. Thy are designed to grab the attention of the visitors while at the same time not taking them away form the main home page (Figure 4-5). visitors can interact with the pop up either with a self-contained form or banner while at the same time remain at the main website where they can also interact or shop.
