For example, let's say you want to do an exploratory analysis of your website visitors from your log files—but you have no clear idea of where to start. Using one of the modeling nodes in Clementine known as Kohonen or Self Organizing Map, you can build a cluster from your data, then "grab" it in the graphical environment and create a "derive" node. From there the derived node can then be routed through the C5.0 machine-learning algorithm, which can generate rules describing the features of the cluster discovered by the SOM.
