It's a one-on-one game. Information is easier to customize than hard goods. The information portion of any good or service is becoming a larger part of its total value. Thus, suppliers and retailers will find it easier and more profitable to customize products. In this type of electronic marketplace consumers will gradually begin to demand this type of customized tailoring from the products they consume. With increased customization of products and services, homogeneous pricing will no longer be practical or applicable.
