Hardware support for play_suspend and play_resume, instead of
turning interrupts on/off

Use a timer to avoid writing the volume setting repeatedly as
the user presses the volume buttons rapidly

A 'preview' mode.  Press a button and it plays 5-10 seconds
starting 20-30 seconds into each track (avoiding a leading pause of
the track)  This will continue through each track until the button is
pressed again at which time the track is stared from the beginning
and played.

Voice responses.  You
could pre-record some small mp3 files of someone saying "next"
"previous" "play" "pause" "random" etc... (possibly saving them to
the hd) and play then when a button is pressed.  Again, back to the
no looking concept.

random
seed.  as is, random seems to hit the same tracks with an almost
repeatable sequence.

the hd spindown is too quick.  It usually takes a few seconds to find
the right button without looking to hit 'next' while driving.  By
that time the drive has already spun down.  10 to 15 seconds should
be enough.

Faster firmware download

Make PAULMON2's download use 24 bit byte counter for correct byte
count when downloading a program that's more than 64k

Flash parameters

Add support in the C code for the 11 character flash parameters to
allow file and directory names to be saved to disk.

Add support for a special key sequence and menu option to erase all
current flash settings
