Bloat is a basic Perl script to allow you to easily decompress files from many formats.

Notice to documentation authors

As you have no doubt noticed, the current docs for bloat - well - suck.
It follows no decent format, is confusing, and probably messes up in many parts.
Hey, it was written by someone who does Perl, what do you expect? ;-)
If you are a documentation author, please consider helping the bloat docs become
something useful - it will not require high maintanance (sounds like I'm
advertising a pet) as once written, not much changes. The most common change is
adding extra file formats - which is a "one liner" which would probably even
just be done by me; changes in the rest of the documentation are far less
frequent.

So, if you feel like helping out bloat and can write documentation - but can't 
write any Perl - now's your chance :-). E-mail me at [e-mail] and
I'll get back to you. Unless it gets drowned in a torrent of spam, which has
happened before.
